Mailtrap
Mailtrap is an email delivery platform that combines a transactional sending API and SMTP service with an email testing sandbox (the sandbox and a marketing product are priced separately from the sending API). mailtrap.io served the platform homepage directly when we verified it in August 2026.
On the Email API tab at the 50,000-email step, Basic costs $20/month — tied with Resend Pro for the cheapest USD tier passing our functional filter at that volume — with webhooks on all tiers and overage at $1.00 per 1,000. The free plan sends 4,000 emails per month with a 150-per-day cap. Pricing checked 19 August 2026.
Deliverability: not yet tested. Mailtrap is in the queue for our seed-list test cycle; the protocol is documented in how we test, and measured results publish to the email deliverability ranking.
