Infobip acquires SocketLabs to expand its enterprise email infrastructure

Infobip announced on July 9, 2026 that it has acquired SocketLabs, a US-based provider of email infrastructure for high-volume, multi-provider sending. Financial terms were not disclosed. According to Infobip's announcement, the acquisition adds nearly two decades of email deliverability expertise to its platform and expands its reach with enterprise and ISV customers in North America and Latin America.
What SocketLabs brings
SocketLabs, based in Pennsylvania, built its recent positioning around a problem larger senders know well: visibility and portability across email providers. Its tooling monitors what actually reaches inboxes across multiple sending platforms and is pitched at enterprises that feel locked into vendors they have outgrown, including support for lower-risk migration between providers. That capability set — cross-provider monitoring, inbox placement visibility, migration safety — is what Infobip says it is buying, alongside the team.
Why it matters for senders
The deal continues a visible consolidation trend in email infrastructure: CPaaS and omnichannel platforms buying specialist email capability rather than building it. For SocketLabs customers, the practical questions are the usual post-acquisition ones — product continuity, pricing, and whether the platform's multi-provider neutrality survives ownership by a company that operates its own sending infrastructure. None of that is knowable on day one, and Infobip's announcement frames the plan as expansion rather than absorption.
For the broader market, one more independent deliverability-focused infrastructure vendor moving inside a large platform narrows the field of neutral tooling — the kind senders use to compare providers or hedge against a single point of failure. Senders on shared infrastructure should keep their own house in order regardless of who owns the pipes: monitor your sender reputation, keep complaint rates low, and maintain authentication that does not depend on any one provider's defaults.
